Honors College Policies

Getting In
New freshman and transfer students who apply for admission to the University are automatically considered for Honors admission and scholarships.

Staying In
Once you've enrolled at UA as an Honors College student, you must officially join Honors via an on-line 'officially joining' form (located on this web site) during the first four weeks of classes.

Priority Registration

Honors Codes

Contracting
The Honors contract allows you to take a non-Honors course and still receive Honors credit. You and your professor are given the opportunity to create an "Honors" tailored around your interests and the objectives of the course.

Honors Status (Updating)
All current Honors students are required to update their Honors status once each semester, during the first five weeks of classes. Failure to do so may result in the loss of Honors privileges.

Advanced Placement/International Baccalaureate

Student Self Nomination

First Level Honors
This certificate serves as a mid-degree recognition for Honors students. It is one of only two Honors College awards offered to Honors students, the other being graduation with Honors.
