Advisory Boards
The Honors College enjoys the wise counsel of three well-established advisory groups to provide continuing faculty and student input, advice, and oversight: the Honors Advisory Board, the Honors College Board, and the Honors Student Council.
The Honors Advisory Board consists of representatives from the colleges with the largest proportion of Honors students, from the Faculty Fellows program and from Honors faculty.

The Honors College Board consists of representatives from our community of scholars, including alumni, parents, high school counselors, and prominent Tucson citizens.
The Honors Student Council is composed of representatives from each Honors hall and interested students. We seek a broad cross-section of Honors students who vary in major, interests, and hometown. The Honors Student Council makes policy recommendations, discusses issues affecting Honors students, and serves as a crucial conduit of information to and from students.
Thanks to the work of these advisory boards and Honors College staff, we have made a number of significant improvements in the Honors program. Our most important accomplishments are:
- institutionalization of Honors contract
- creation of First Level Honors certificate
- Honors' representation on Undergraduate Council and University-Wide General Education committee
- development of policy for maintaining Honors status
- creation of Honors Student Code of Conduct
- increased cooperation with colleges
- improved communication to faculty and Honors students
- heightened recognition of outstanding Honors advisors and faculty
