In recognition of the high level of academic achievement of students through AP and IB coursework, the Honors College will adjust the number of units required for graduation with Honors and First Level Honors.

  • Students who enter Honors as freshmen and receive a 4 or 5 on a minimum of two AP examinations will reduce by 3 the number of credits required for graduation with Honors and First Level Honors.
  • Students who enter Honors as freshmen and receive a 4 or 5 on four or more AP examinations will reduce by 6 the number of credits required for graduation with Honors and First Level Honors.
  • Students who enter Honors as freshmen and receive a 5, 6, or 7 on one to three higher-level IB examinations will reduce by 3 the number of credits required for graduation with Honors and First Level Honors.
  • Students who receive a 5, 6, or 7 on four or more higher-level IB examinations will reduce by 6 the number of credits required for graduation with Honors and First Level Honors.

This policy affects new freshman students entering the UA in the fall 2001.
