Staying In

Once you've enrolled at UA as an Honors College student, you must officially join Honors via an on-line 'officially joining' form (located on this web site) during the first four weeks of classes. We ask that you update your status every semester during the first four weeks of classes using the on-line form.

Additionally, you must maintain a cumulative 3.50 GPA to maintain your Honors student status. If your GPA falls below this mark, you will be granted a probationary period of at least one semester. If you were admitted to The Honors College as an incoming freshman, you will not be considered for removal from Honors until after your sophomore year.

While Honors College students are not required to take Honors courses every semester as a condition of eligibility, doing so is strongly recommended so that you may stay on track toward graduation with Honors and maximize your academic experiences as a UA undergraduate. If you take a leave of absence from the University related to internships, study abroad, or other circumstances, be sure to make contact with The Honors College upon your return to campus to re-instate your Honors student status.
