Five Star
The Five Star Faculty Award is the only university-wide teaching award with nominations and winners selected exclusively by students. The purpose of the award is to recognize excellence in undergraduate teaching. First awarded in 1983, it is sponsored by the Honors College. The Five Star committee uses student observations, committee observations, interviews and statements from the nominees to evaluate every facet of the teacher-student relationship. The award comes with a $1,000 prize.
The nomination deadline is 2/15/08.
