Tucson-Roscommon Sister Cities
In our partnership with Tucson-Roscommon Sister Cities we are in the process of creating a
video presentation detailing the benefits of sister cities and the necessity of citizen
involvement. We have conducted interviews, attended meetings and recorded Celtic events
around the Tucson area in order to create an engaging and informative presentation.

We were
able to experience different cultures through our involvement in different activities like the
Celtic Festival and Highland Games and the Family Arts Festival. At both of these events we
helped the sister city run a booth to promote the organization.

Besides helping the
organization to develop a larger membership base we were able to attend festivals that we
normally would not attend and helped us to further learn about not only Irish culture but also
the other cultures and countries that are present in Tucson.

Our experience has also included
some difficulties: since we had never made a video before, it was a challenge to learn these
new skills. Yet with the assistance provided to us by the UA Multimedia Lab and others, we are
confident that we will produce a video that will not only be professional, but will also be
something that the Tucson-Roscommon Sister Cities can use for many years to come.
