Honors Residence Halls
Over 600 Honors students live in our three Honors Residence Halls. Students live in Yuma, Yavapai and Posada San Pedro. Each year many student choose to live in the Honors Community because of the academic and social opportunities that exist to connect with other Honors students.
Yuma Residence Hall
The first of the University's Honors Halls, Yuma, a three-story building, provides a stimulating living and learning environment for students admitted to the Honors program. Built in 1942, and refurbished in 1988, Yuma has a warm and welcoming entry with sunken living room, kitchen and vending area. Students enjoy small study area, a TV room, library, exercise room and outside courtyard with barbecue area. The UA Honors Program also maintains a computer lab in the building. Yavapai Residence Hall
Yavapai Hall, built in 1942 and refurbished in 1989, is one of the University's Honors Halls for students admitted to the Honors program. This spacious four-story hall features a romanesque entryway and a comfortable living room where students can relax and watch television or socialize with friends. Study rooms and a recreation area are located on the ground floor. Residents also make use of the enclosed courtyard with barbecue pit. The hall is centrally located on campus, convenient to classroom buildings and the Park and Memorial Student Unions. Rooms are standard doubles on single-sex wings. Posada San Pedro
Posada San Pedro is a new Honors Hall and one of three new residence halls in the Highland District Housing Project completed in 2004. It is located at the southern gateway to the University of Arizona campus on Highland Avenue and Sixth Street. The three-story brick and stucco building overlooks desert landscaped courtyards.
