Honors Alumni Legacy Grants
Honors alumni and friends have kindly provided financial support for students through Alumni Legacy Grants in two categories: travel grants and senior thesis support. The Honors College will review requests monthly until funds are expended.
Students requesting travel grants need to submit:
- Cover letter detailing:
- costs of meeting,
- name of meeting or conference,
- where held and when,
- whether paper has been accepted for presentation,
- funds sought or obtained from other sources
- Abstract of paper
- Letter of recommendation from a faculty member
- Student's contact information (local address, phone number, email address)
Note: Students can apply for travel grants to support study abroad travel. In this case they need to specify where they will be traveling and which group or organization is sponsoring the study abroad experience.
Students requesting senior thesis support need to submit:
- Cover letter detailing support needed (travel, equipment, supplies) with justification as to why these are not available through other sources. Please note that equipment becomes part of UA inventory and location of equipment subsequent to student's use must be specified in advance.
- Abstract of senior thesis
- Letter of recommendation from senior thesis advisor
- Student's contact information (local address, phone number, email address)
The number of awards is limited by funds available.
