Honors halls
Over 600 Honors students live in our three Honors Residence Halls. Students live in Yuma, Yavapai and Posada San Pedro. Each year many student choose to live in the Honors Community because of the academic and social opportunities that exist to connect with other Honors students.
Forum luncheons
Each semester, we bring together students, faculty and staff for the opportunity to observe a UA faculty member’s presentation of their research over a lunch meal. We encourage students to attend one free luncheon per semester.

Honors players
Every fall and spring semester, Honors students may audition to participate in a play. Students choosen rehearse for the first six weeks of the semester for performance.

Phi Beta Kappa
The University of Arizona chapter of Phi Beta Kappa, partners with The Honors College to recruit its membership and provide study abroad travel grants.

New student welcome
In the fall semester, The Honors College hosts welcoming activities for its new students to The University of Arizona. We often provide free food, prizes, music and fun to help new students to get acquainted with Slonaker House, Honors College staff and meet other new students.
Honors Student Council (HSC)
The objectives of the Honors Student Council are to promote awareness of and interest in The Honors College, facilitate communication between students and faculty, communicate student needs and wants in regards to Honors courses, Honors privileges, Honors halls, and Honors events. We also sponsor forums for the presentation and sharing of innovative ideas for the benefit of the University community as a whole. And, we organize fun, non-academic, fundraising events for the benefit of both Honors and non-Honors students.
Shadowcats
Shadowcats is The Honors College student recruitment group. Volunteers are central to our recruitment programs as they participate in student panels, lunches and attend activities with prospective students.
Cultural connections
This series of programming is designed to expand our student’s knowledge of cultural issues that affect our community. Topics covered previously are: race, ethnicity, diversity. |
