Paladins: First Year Transition Program

Paladins is an innovative, grant-winning program designed to assist small groups of incoming freshmen and transfer students make a smooth transition to the University by strengthening their social, academic and cognitive skills in a one-unit Honors colloquia course in the fall semester. Paladins receive exposure to academic departments, faculty, and cultural events on campus to enhance their college experience and overall academic success. The course will engage students’ enthusiasm and strengthen critical thinking skills through class discussions and readings. Each section is facilitated by a preceptor; preceptors are well-trained, dedicated and approachable Honors College students who want to help new Honors students be successful at the University.
