Donald Frevert After completing my Bachelor's Degree in Hydrology / Earth Sciences at the U of A, I went on to pursue a Masters Degree in Hydrology and Water Resources and a PhD in Irrigation and Drainage at Colorado State University. While completing my PhD I accepted a position as an Hydraulic Engineer at the Bureau of Reclamation and have worked for Reclamation now for more than 28 years. My career has been very rewarding - due in no small part to the start I got with my undergraduate education at the U of A. I have had the opportunity to be a part of the development and implementation of the water resources decision support systems that are used to operate a number of Reclamation facilities including Hoover Dam and Glen Canyon Dam. In 2003, I was recognized with the Department of the Interior's Superior Service Award and in 2006, I received the Excellence in Leadership Award for serving two years as the chair of the Federal Interagency Subcommittee on Hydrology. Last fall I was privileged to be elected a Fellow in the American Society of Civil Engineers. I'll always be appreciative of the outstanding all around education I received at the U of A.
