Harriet Smith

I am a clinical psychologist in private practice in Phoenix, AZ. I have recently published a book, "Parenting for Primates" (Harvard University Press, 2006) which compares and contrasts parenting in monkeys, apes, and humans. I have included the web page for my book, which has a photo of me. This book was the result of my managing a colony of cottontop tamarin monkeys in my home for 30 years, which started me thinking about primate patterns in parenting.
