How to get to the Honors College

Construction Notice:
The I-10 freeway is currently under construction until 2010. While construction is underway, the freeway will remain open; however, all exits from Prince road to 29th Street (east and westbound) are closed. Please allow additional time for possible traffic delays.

From Phoenix

Please note, you must exit at Prince Road (exit #254). Stay on the frontage road turning left onto east Speedway Blvd. Continue heading east on Speedway Blvd. and make a right turn onto North Park Avenue (Park is two blocks after the signal at North Euclid Avenue). Take the first left from Park onto East Second Street. The Honors College (Slonaker House) is the first building on your left that faces Second.

From I10 East

Approaching from I-10 east take exit 257 Speedway Boulevard/University of Arizona.  From the freeway access road make a right onto West Speedway Boulevard.  Continue on Speedway and make a right turn onto North Park Avenue (Park is two blocks after the signal at North Euclid Avenue).  Take the first left from Park onto East Second Street.  The Honors College (Slonaker House) is the first building on your left that faces Second.

From Tucson International Airport

From the Tucson International Airport, by car you exit the airport northbound on Tucson Boulevard and take a left (heading west) at Valencia Road, the first traffic signal. Driving west on Valencia Road one block to a light at Campbell Avenue. Turn right (north) onto Campbell Avenue and continue driving north, following the street through a midway name change to Kino Parkway. At 6th Street, Kino Parkway will become Campbell Avenue again. You will see the UA at the northwest corner of the intersection of Campbell Avenue and 6th Street. Continue heading north on Campbell Ave. to Speedway Blvd. Turn left onto Speedway Blvd (heading west). Then turn left at Park Ave (the third signal). Take the first left from Park onto East Second Street. The Honors College (Slonaker House) is the first building on your left that faces Second.

From South Tucson

Exit at 29th Street (exit #259) onto the frontage road turning right onto east Speedway Blvd. Continue heading east on Speedway Blvd. and make a right turn onto North Park Avenue (Park is two blocks after the signal at North Euclid Avenue). Parking

There is metered parking on the street in front of the Honors College - this is usually full during the day. There is a small parking lot in front of the building with two twenty minute loading spaces (strictly enforced). Handicapped parking on campus requires UA-issued handicap permits. There are several nearby University operated parking structures with visitor parking by the hour/day. The closest parking is in the Second Street Garage (just east of The Honors College at Second and Mountain behind the Student Union Memorial Center), the Park Avenue Garage (two blocks north of the Honors College across Speedway Boulevard), or the Main Gate Garage (two blocks west of the Honors College across Park Avenue).
