I Joined FHA Because... I joined FHA my first year of college because right away, Honors facilitated some of my favorite experiences and was a big part in my choosing to attend the UArizona (research, different courses, small classes, lots of support, etc). I wanted the opportunity to share why the W.A. Franke Honors College was the right place for me and to help students discover if it is right for them, too!
My Favorite Honors Course was... an English class with Patrick Baliani exploring the interplay between and portrayal of neuroscience, psychology, mental illness, and media (such as short stories and movies). While I have taken many mind-opening courses, this was a unique topic I had never anticipated having the opportunity to take and love!
Favorite Spots on Campus: ENR2 has always been a favorite building to hang out around, but lately I have spent a lot of time in the Honors Lounge in the Student Union when it's chilly or at the tables outside of the Union to get some fresh air when its nice out!
Fun Fact: Summer of 2022, I spent 5 weeks backpacking through Europe and three weeks taking a sculpture course in southern France! My favorite country out of the seven that I had visited was Austria-- its beauty was breathtaking and at no cost to the history and culture that it holds!
