Student Spotlight: Katherine Weingartner
Sailing on the Sea of Galilee, walking on the streets of Jerusalem, standing on the Israeli-Lebanese border, and floating in the Dead Sea – these are just a few memories from Katherine Weingartner’s life-changing trip to Israel last winter. After being selected to join 18 other students from around the country to participate in the first annual Caravan for Democracy Student Mission, Katherine was exposed to new religions, cultures and realities of Israel that are not often known.
